Interior plains
The interior plains is a flat landscape dividing the canadian shield and the western cordillera. Its vast, evenly leveled grasslands make it a great place for agriculture. With this advantage comes some challenges that the people living in the interior plains have to face.

Adaptations:
Back millions of years ago, The interior plains were drowned in a shallow ocean. I think that the constant water flow could have eroded hills and bumps to create the flat landscape that we know as the interior plains.

Challenges:
- Oil wells are common, leads to oil spills which can destroy ecosystems and kill animals, depleting food resources.
- Long droughts with minimal precipitation can affect crop growth and affect forests, leading to fires which can destroy houses and buildings.
- Droughts deplete water resources, would have to import water from other places, costing more money.
Adaptations:
- You would need to adapt to the long, cold winters and the short, hot summers. (Not a lot of time to farm, risk of frostbite)
- Activities(you're not going to be snowboarding)
- Wildlife safety (open fields make great places for foxes, wolves and bears)
